FCA removes 25% concentration limit for UK UCITS investing in other collective investment schemes

On 26 March 2026, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued the Collective Investment Schemes Sourcebook (Concentration Limits) (No 2) Instrument 2026 (FCA 2026/15), which amends the Collective Investment Schemes Sourcebook (COLL) to remove certain concentration limits applicable to UK UCITS schemes investing in other collective investment schemes (CIS).
The instrument deletes COLL 5.2.29R(3), which had restricted a UCITS scheme from investing more than 25% of its scheme property in another CIS, together with the related provisions in COLL 5.2.29R(6) and 5.2.29A R and the transitional provisions in COLL TP 1.1.66R and 67. The instrument was published and entered into force on 27 March 2026.
